Assistant works
What the system actually is, how to set it up once, and how the commands run. Plain English, no technical background needed. About a ten-minute read.
What it actually is
A folder on your own laptop. That's it. Nothing lives on a website you log into, and nothing routes through me.
Your Starter Kit is a folder full of files. Some of those files are the steps (build my brain, work out my break-even, audit my ads, and so on). One file holds the safety rules that are always on. When you open the folder in Claude and type a command, Claude reads those files and does that step, on your own account, on your own data.
So three things are always true: it runs on your laptop, in your own Claude account, on your own ad account. You own all of it.
Setting it up once
Five things, about half an hour, and you only ever do it once.

You never memorise a sequence. You type one command and it takes you to the right place.
Each step is a command, typed with a slash. The main one is /start. When you type it, Claude quietly checks how far you've got (which files exist, whether your account's connected, whether you've audited yet) and then runs the next step for you, in plain English. So if you ever lose your place, you type /start and it sorts you out.
Behind each command is a written instruction (built by me, from how I run real ad accounts) telling Claude exactly how to do that step: what to ask you, what to check, what to build. You never see or copy those, you just answer the questions.

If something doesn't work
You typed a command and nothing happened
Almost always this means Claude isn't open in the folder. Close it, open your Starter Kit folder, and open Claude Code from there. The commands only exist inside the folder that holds them.
It can't see your ad account
Re-add the connector (Settings, Connectors) and grant every permission at the Meta screen. If your account still doesn't appear at all, message me, it may be one Meta hasn't switched on yet.
Anything else
Type: "explain that again like I'm new to this." It will. And bring anything, however small, to the Slack group or your call. That's what they're for.
