Is your ad account ready?

One quick check that Claude can talk to your ad account. Pass it, and your founding place is yours to reserve.

Meta is still rolling out the connection that lets AI work on ad accounts, and a small number of accounts aren't switched on yet. This check tells us yours is ready before any money changes hands. If it isn't, that's nothing you've done wrong, and there's an option for you below too.

First, two things:
1. Start a Claude Pro plan or higher, around £18 a month (the free plan can't add connectors, and you'll want Pro to run the system anyway). Get it at claude.ai.
2. Be logged in to the Meta account that manages your ads.
Never run ads before but you have an ad account? Run the check anyway. It will show your account with £0 spend, and that still counts as a pass.
No ad account at all yet? You'll still need a live Shopify store, but the system can build your ad account and tracking from scratch. That's newer ground, so I'd rather set it up with you than leave you to it. Skip the check and message me on Instagram, we'll do it together.

Rather not start a Claude plan just to check? No problem, I'll run it for you. You grant me partner access to your ad account through Meta Business Manager (the standard way clients work with me, no passwords involved), and I run the exact same check from my side. Message me on Instagram and I'll send you the two clicks it takes.

The check

  1. 1. On claude.ai in a browser, click your initials in the bottom-left corner, then Settings, then Connectors.
  2. 2. Click Add custom connector and paste this web address exactly, then add it:
    https://mcp.facebook.com/ads
  3. 3. A Meta login window opens. Log in to your own Meta and allow the access it asks for. You log in yourself, so nobody ever sees your password.
  4. 4. Choose the ad account you want to use from the list.
  5. 5. Start a new chat and type:
    "Show me my ad accounts and my total ad spend for the last 7 days."

What happened?

It showed your ad account and a spend figure

You're connected (and £0 counts, if you've never run ads). That's the whole check passed. There are 5 founding places at £297 + VAT for August, and one of them can be yours.

If the check errored, Meta hasn't switched your account on yet. Nothing you did wrong, and it's rolling out to more accounts all the time.
